Angela has been hooked on investigating how children think about mathematics since working on her first research project in South Los Angeles with her mentor, Megan Franke. Since completing her PhD in the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies, Angela has since pursued a career as a researcher and educator, working at the intersection of children’s mathematical thinking, student engagement, and teacher learning in early childhood and elementary school settings. She is currently a clinical faculty member in UCLA’s Teacher Education Program and supports the learning of teacher candidates and first year teachers earning their master’s degrees.
